PIKA FastOrange B is a nutrient medium which was developed especially for the detection of beer spoiling microorganisms in beer during the whole production process. According to the one-for-all principle, you can use it to enrich all brewery samples. Beer spoilers as acid producing lactobacilli and pediococci are easily detected by a color change in the medium. FastOrange B is available in the varieties Agar, Bouillon, Tubes, and Ready-to-use-Tubes.
PIKA FastOrange Yeast is a nutrient medium which was developed especially for the beverage and food industry as well as for breweries and wineries. Due to its special composition, both yeasts and mold can be enriched with this medium while growth of bacteria is suppressed. Growth is indicated by turbidity/precipitation, acid producing species are additionally producing a color change of the medium. FastOrange Yeast is available in the varieties Agar and bouillon.
PIKA FastOrange BRETT is a nutrient medium which was developed especially for the beverage and food industry as well as for wine producers. Due to its special composition, yeasts of the genus Brettanomyces/Dekkera can be enriched selectively while growth of culture yeast and bacteria is suppressed. Brettanomyces yeasts are detected in the medium by a color change. FastOrange BRETT is available in the varieties Agar and bouillon.

PIKA was first to come to market with PCR kits in a dried format. Each kit is a complete package including material for DNA extraction as well as reagents and tubes for PCR thus covering the whole analysis.
